I haven't been using my favorites links on my blog in order to visit them, so imagine my surprise when I used them this week and discovered I'd entered one wrong. I love to visit Every Day Miracles, but somehow had it linked to another favorite. I have now corrected it. Sorry, Wendi!
I found it because I was house and dog sitting for my parents this past week. Since I didn't have my computer favorites along and was using their [very slow!] computer, I depended on my Blog Favorites list. Since their computer takes so much longer to move around and download a page, I wasn't checking everyone's blogs as often and rarely left a comment, so if you're reading this...it wasn't because I wasn't thinking of you and wanting to support you with a comment!
My mom bought me a whole box full of apple "seconds" and told me not to pay her, just to give her some applesauce when I made it. Mmmmm!!! So I made applesauce several days this week. I was very careful adding the cinnamon, though. One year I was making applesauce and went into the kitchen in the evening to add the last minute sugar and cinnamon. I didn't think I'd need more than the nite-lite off the stove hood, but I really should have turned on the light. I reached into the cupboard for my cinnamon and sprinkled liberally. I stirred it in. something really stank. I took a taste. YUCK!!! I turned on the light and looked at the cinnamon bottle. It was CUMIN. I had to throw the whole batch out!

I love looking at great photography and found this new site through another blog. The pictures are so amazing!
I have some other new favorite blogs I'm adding to my list. Check them out!
Oh my word, I have done that exact same thing with cumin before, when I was making apple pie. They really do exactly like, and I need to figure out a better system...I'm always afraid I'm going to ruin a dish when I'm cooking for company or something. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet - and no need to appologize. :) I have certainly done my fair share of linking mistakes since blogging. :)
ReplyDeleteI got a good laugh out of your apple sauce mistake. :)
Yummy! I do love home made applesauce. Enjoy!
Poor Wendi! Imagine my surprise when I saw myself on their twice. Sorry, Wendi, but she obviously likes me more (hee hee).
