Not Me! Monday
It's confession time, according to MckMama's blog, altho I'm not so good at remembering what I should be confessing. I can hardly remember one day from the next, let alone these "confession moments" from over the past week!
::I did not get up at 2AM to take my husband to his truck this morning and drive him in my sleepwear. I was not driving in my sleep, also!
::I did not cry buckets when watching the movie "Front of the Class" last night. Oh, he touched my heart with his Tourette's...and the little girl who died!
::I did not go into the bathroom to get away from my talkative son. Not me! No one would be that kind of mother and confess it! I did not even close both my bedroom door, the bathroom door and the commode door so that he couldn't stand and talk outside the door to me!!!!!
::I did not totally give up on HFTH losing weight by Christmas. Especially after being weighed at my doctors office on Thursday and their scale showing way more than mine!
::I did not spend about 15 minutes giving a substitute oxygen delivery-man directions to my house this morning, when he was only a couple of minutes away! Actually, he should be making that confession and not me. I was not giving him blow-by-blow instructions and yet he kept making wrong turns!
Well, if I remember the ones I forgot, I'll add them on later. If you have the time, go by MckMama's to read lots more and be reminded that no one is perfect!

Nothin' But a Hound-Dog
My son is such a nut. His imagination works overtime and he always has me laughing.
This afternoon he was vacuuming for me, when he decided to use the attachment as a microphone. He started jamming it up with "We Are The Champions" and I quickly snapped off these shots.

He sure is entertaining to have around!
----------
The Voltaren Gel has really helped with the pain I was having in my chest and I found something that helped with my itchy rash. It was itching the worst on the back of my neck and the only anti-itch stuff I could find in the house was Vagisil. So I rubbed that on my neck and it really helped. Too bad the tube's almost empty.

How I'm dealing with the rash/ Another prayer request
First of all, my rash is driving me CRAZY at this point. The back of my neck up into my scalp is the worst. Usually it's the bra area and I've tried going w/o one, but my boobs have gotten too big and heavy with age (I'm assuming with age, because I was nearly flat when we were first married!) and they really hurt when I go braless. (Is this TMI?) So, this AM I tried to find something I could bind myself with, but nothing would work. Plan B: I put on a tight sleeveless shell with a mock t-nk. It helps keeping clothes from rubbing against the rash, which makes it worse. Then the shell wasn't enough support for the BOSOM, so I put a bra on OVER the shell. At least it isn't chaffing like it was. Needless to say, I can't walk around the house like THIS
{Okay, I deleted the picture from here. I realized it would show up on Dashboards and that was "too much exposure" for me! So use your imagination! hehe!}
when I have a 14 year old son in the house. So I put a nice soft sweatshirt of my husbands overtop.
Misty, I bet you never modeled underwear like this! lol
MamaBelle, I guess this doesn't fall under your "Dare to Wear", huh?
Anyway, it's working...except for my neck. My neck is really itching like crazy and is swollen below the rash.

Please pray for Alan Henley and his wife, Jen. They are friends of Megan at Hold It Up to the Light. Instead of going into the story, it's best to read it on Alan's Caring Bridge site. Jen's last few posts have been breaking my heart and they can surely use your prayers. Or perhaps you know of someone in that area that can be of help to them.

Doctor, doctor, gimme the news
I saw my Internist this morning about the chest pain I've been having. After listening with his stethoscope, he said I sounded crackly, but not more crackly than usual. He was going to do an Xray, but wondered if I had inflammation from coughing so he wanted to try a new topical ibuprofen ointment first. He put some on and left me for a while, then had me cough. It didn't hurt much. He said that some people who cough hard and frequent (I've been doing both a lot lately) will have inflammation between the sternum and...somewhere else, can't remember!
So he gave me a bunch of samples of the ointment, plus 2 mos. worth of Singulair samples. I had stopped taking that one because of the expense, but he thought it might help with my coughing & asthma.
My rash is worse today and he was checking that out. He thinks it's a type of Urticaria, but wasn't sure. It is terribly itchy and bothersome tonight!
Well, it's late and I've had a VERY busy day so I'm off to bed.
