Where did he go?

I'm finally posting pictures of my little one!

Harry Belafonte sang a song in the 60's called Turn Around. Anyone remember it, or are you all too young?? It's singing about a little girl, but I hear it in my mind about a little boy when I look at my pictures...

Where are you going my little one, little one
Where are you going my baby my own
Turn around and you're two
Turn around and you're four
Turn around and you're a young girl
Going out of the door

Turn around
Turn around
Turn around and you're a young girl
Going out of the door

As I mentioned recently, I have only had a digital camera for a few years, therefore many of my pictures are hard to share online.

I decided to take some pictures of my pictures, so I could share some. I love looking back over my scrapbooks at pictures of my son when he was smaller. What a happy boy he was, with his beautiful curls! He was always playing dress-up, smelling flowers, playing with the dog, using his great imagination. He's now 14 years old and taller than I am, so I look at these pictures and wonder where this little boy went. The time has passed so quickly and he's no longer small. No more cuddles, he won't even let me hug him these days. "Mom, keep away! Yuck!"

I hope you enjoy these pictures. I'm sorry that they are a little blurry, but I don't have the steadiest hand when taking close-ups.

  1. What precious pictures of your son. I have a fourteen year old son too! He is one of the loves of my life.

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog today. I don't know why the widget wouldn't let you follow me. Please try it again and let me know if it is still a problem. You are the first to let me know that.

...and your wedding picture is beautiful. I wish I lived in the South. Being married on a plantation just sounds so romantic, so American, so special.

I saw your comment on my blog about my job. I think I have only ever posted what I actually do, in one post....my 100th post Q&A....a couple people had asked the same question. I work for a Privately owned Uniform Rental Company, I am the National Director of Sales for them. This is a one in a million job....that I was so fortunate to find....I will work there as long as they will have me!!

Happy Holidays to you and your family!!

  6. Hi Debbi --

I loved seeing the pictures of your son. My son is also 14 and it is amazing how they grow! I just love having a son -- he's my special friend.

I think you left a message on my blog about the vinyl lettering on my wall. I actually got it at Target. It was really easy to apply so I think it will be easy to take off too. I really like it.

    Thanks for coming by!
