This is not Heaven

Today has been a really nice day. I had a visit with my Home Health nurse. Sure, she was here to discharge me from their care, but it was still really nice to visit with her. She was saying how nice it is to come here because most of her patients are older and don't talk!

I was able to go for groceries and that didn't do me in!!! YEAH!! See, the things you take for granted!

It's fantastic weather here today and I have all of my windows open, enjoying the comfortable breeze.

I VERY SELDOM have windows open, because of allergies, but I'm enjoying it so very much today. It's a cool day for September, by Georgia standards. It's in the low 70's and there isn't a cloud in the sky and there is a strong breeze.

I made supper early and have Ham & Cheese Quiche in the convection over, which is a treat I seldom have.

We will eat our quiche on the deck, then head to Karate class. And as if this day isn't good enough, I get to watch BIGGEST LOSER tonight!!!!


I've been thinking how nice and peaceful today is and then got to thinking how this doesn't even compare to what Heaven will be like. In Heaven we will have no pain, no sorrow, no loneliness, no worrying, no concern about what our *crazy* President or some other country might do.

We will only be experiencing boundless peace and joy and love.

But for while I'm here on earth, I will take as many days like today as I can.

And look forward to Heaven.
