From the Wilds

We got home early this evening from picking up Ryan at the Wilds. He had a great time. He was showing us around the camp since we'd never been there and I wanted to share some pictures I took. It was overcast and sprinkling so the lighting in some of the shots are so-so.

Ryan just loved this coffee shop called "Cool Beans"!!! I think he spent quite a bit of time there.

Look how high this swing is!!! He said it was a blast!

A Zip-Line for my adrenaline junkie! It starts way up in those trees. Can you see it?

They float a long distance in this stream. You can see some of the tubes in the distance.

Water guns to shoot at the people floating by!

The water slide. One day they found a Copperhead on the slide.

There is a lake, also, but we didn't go that far.

Would you believe I survived climbing up these steps to get back to the car???

As a side, my computer had to go into the shop on Wednesday and get wiped clean so I lost everything. All of the blogs I follow that don't have a "Follow Me" feature, I had in favorites and now it'll take me a while to find everyone again. So if you don't see me around, that's why.

  3. We have gone to the Wilds of the Rockies Camp before a couple of times, when they had one in Colorado...but they sold it. It was beautiful there. And a delightful getaway with Lord place.

Sounds like Ryan had a lot of fun! It is fun to be out in the beauty of nature and to enjoy God's creations.

Sorry about your computer. I had to buy a new battery and also a power cord for mine and was without it for a couple of weeks...but it's up and working again, so I am happy. (:>)

Have a blessed Lord's Day and a great week ahead!

  4. This must have been the week for computers dying. Mine froze and I lost all of my bookmarks, address book and email addresses.

The camp is so beautiful. What a great place for a kid to play. Do you start school this week??

    Hugs to you.

  8. wow, those photos brought back so many great memories. Back in the 70's when I was a camper there, my cabin won "Cleanest Cabin of the Week" for the girls! Later I was honored my son was able to attend camp at the Wilds for several summers. He loved that swing too!
