Speaking of transplants

I've been thinking about transplants ever since I posted this morning.

I've been thinking about how I admire the people I know who've gone through them. (Like Tricia, Christy, Katey, and others I know) When you get to the point that you qualify for a transplant, you are really at a low. Not only is there the physical toll, but the emotional toll from being sick so much and so long. If you are a healthy person, you have no idea what I'm talking about because you have to experience it to understand what I'm saying.

One incentive these ladies had was that they were all young and had their adult life ahead of them with experiences they'd been dreaming of.

Then after the transplant they go through so much pain. They have to push themselves and be very diligent about their exercise and their diet and their medicine and, with CF, their respiratory treatments. It's a LOT of work!

It's amazing what they've gone through and how much they've accomplished.

I just had to add that.

  1. First I wanted to reassure you that I am just flattered when you choose to use one of my pics! thank you. Secondly I am praying about that transplant for you. I cannot imagine what stress the choice alone would cause., God Bless you!!

  2. Amen to that. They are CF heros in my eyes. They have gone to the "bad side" and back. That takes a lot of courage and strength. I hope when my time comes I have what it takes.
