My son, you are a joy to have around. Your sense of humor always keeps us laughing. Your gentle nature and desire to do the right thing are an example to those around you.
Thank you for praying about my side effects while I'm on IV antibiotics. They have mostly disappeared and I am already feeling better than I did earlier in the week.
They sent different containers for the medicine to drip from. I think they look like those scented wallflowers that you plug into the wall.
I like the old Eclipse containers better. I am mixing my own medicine and injecting it into the container they have filled with measured saline. But these containers leak at the top so the 2 hours the medicine diffuses I have to keep it upright and since the bottom isn't flat, this is what I came up with.
Works for me! Except I'll be sitting in the chair and have to get up to go to the bathroom or let a dog in/out and I'll forget that I'm tethered. So when I get up the mug drops to the floor. And it's awkward carrying this mug into the bathroom and setting it on the floor, keeping the catheter from pulling on me the whole time...(no picture of this!)
I have to do the medicine 8 hours apart and it takes a little over 2 hours to infuse. I'm doing 6AM, 2PM and 10PM (which means I'm not going to bed until after midnight). But I'm not coughing at night much anymore, so I'm getting about 5 hrs. sleep at night and taking a mini nap in the afternoons.
SOOO glad it's going better!! Glad you're able to get some sleep. Naps are a good thing, yes!!! I've already forgotten I'm tethere too, it's a good thing my picc was tape down so well...
Glad to hear that your side effects have almost gone away! And I really like Francine Rivers :) My only problem is once I pick one of her books up, I cannot put it down.
Oh I forgot to say how funny the sleeping dog picture was! Brings back memories of our dog Poco who passed away a long time ago. He was a great dog! A Sheltie. What kind is yours?

ReplyDeleteI always require tons of sleep on antibiotics-- even oral.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are better. I've been thinking about you. Night coughing is the worse...that's is when I know I am in need of treatment.
