This is a great week for soups as it's extra cold here in the south. Here is the recipe for this one, in case you'd like to try it.

COMFORTING CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
2 qts. water
8 chicken boullion cubes (I use Tones paste for less sodium)
6 1/2 c. uncooked wide egg noodles
2 cans condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
3 c. cooked chicken, cubed
8 oz. fat free sour cream
minced fresh parsley
In a large saucepan, bring water and boullion to a boil. Add noodles; cook, uncovered, until tender, about 10 minutes. DO NOT DRAIN. Add soup and chicken pieces; heat through. Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream. Sprinkle with parsley. Yield: 10-12 servings.

Mmmm Yummy, that sounds so good right now especially with as cold as I am. This cold weather is driving me crazy!!
ReplyDeleteSoup sounds wonderful! Thanks for stopping by our blog. Glad you're sharing your story.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I found you through other CF blogs and I remember seeing some of your posts on the blog about "Gina". I think it is cool that we live so close to each other. I have had a hard time finding people that live here and that are dealing/living with CF. Everything is so new to me, yet I feel like the docs at Egleston have answered most of questions about Lainey and cf. Thanks again for visiting and I would love to keep in touch.
