I mentioned last week to my husband that if he didn't soon fix the lid on our toilet that we were going to find ourselves sitting on the floor. It was broken and loose. So he and R. headed off to Lowe's.
He got some handy-dandy new seat. For 2 dollars extra, this lid will close all by itself! Cool, huh? The only problem is, I am a firm believe that you need to put the lid down before you flush because all of that bacteria goes flying into the air. And the lid lowers itself very s-l-o-w-l-y.
So now I have to hit the flush lever and RUN to get away from those germs...or come back to flush. Someone didn't think this through when they invented it.

On a side, and totally unrelated, I have a horrible case of thrush in my mouth and swollen glands. It's miserable. But at least I don't feel like swallowing any food.
Oh, I so need a toilet seat like that and I need one that will clean itself too. Did they have any like that? Anymore I just have my DH clean the toilets since he can't seem to keep them cleaner then what I would.

I am sorry about the thrush and I hope it gets better quickly! My babies have always had that and it must be so painful in your mouth!
