Today my mom had to come in the vicinity for a hair appt. (She lives about 40 min. away) Didn't her hair turn out nice?
After her appointment she went to the pharmacy for me and picked up my prescriptions so I wouldn't have to go out. She then picked up lunch and brought it to us, trying to encourage me to eat.
She wanted to do some housework while she was here and she brought a meal to put in the crockpot. The other day she gave us a BIG pot of homemade vegetable beef soup and we've been eating that the last several days.
After sitting in this chair - often with this pile of blankets! - round the clock,
it was nice to have Mommy come and take care of me, like when I was a little girl!

Aren't moms the greatest? My mom took care of me when I was sick with Julia's pregnancy.

ReplyDeleteAmen to all you've said! My mom lives with my husband and I ( just since July) and it's a godsend at times... most people think it's weird that we are a blended family by choice, but it works for us and my babies get to see their Mamaw everyday...
