Before Christmas I mentioned to my husband that it might be a good thing for me to have in the car since we haven't lived in this area for really long. He said "That is what maps are for!"
Today I was thinking about how God has gone before us and made a way for us. When we are plowing through our life we "run into" obstacles. Things seem all wrong and aren't going the way we think they should. But God sees us through a different perspective and He knows just what we need. A curve in the road might be so that we avoid something far worse. Going in a completely different direction might not be what we think is best, but if it's God's plan for us it leads us to better fulfillment, joy, peace and blessings than we would have had otherwise.
The Bible is our GPS. It's the map God has set out for us to follow.
I was reading a new blog this evening that kind of went with what I was thinking about this afternoon. Ginger, at Just a Thought. She put it so beautifully that I will just refer you to read what she had to say.

You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever. Psalm 16:11
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.Philippians 4:6-8
