:: Can someone tell me how you get the design on Scrapblog onto your blog for a new blog look? I thot maybe you had to save it to Photobucket but I can't get that to work, either. You can post here or email me - I really need some help! I worked on a new look and am really pleased with it, but don't know how to get it here!
:: I made Valentine cookies this afternoon.
:: I'd like to surprise my husband Saturday with strawberries dipped in chocolate. I used to live near Wilbur and Hershey Chocolate and used their coating chocolate. Now I'm not sure what to use. Can you recommend a good dipping recipe for the strawberries?
:: My son picked me these daffodils in the woods yesterday.

:: My son wears shorts year-round in the house and is ALWAYS barefoot. The other night I told him to come along with me to pick up my husband from work. I said it was chilly out. When we got back home I checked him out and saw this was what he was wearing:

I started laughing at his "look" of shorts, leather jacket and Western boots - and he started dancing the jig for my entertainment. Crazy kid!
:: I've really been getting into listening to the Love Songs XM Channel on our DirectTV. So many of those songs bring back "old days" memories!
:: YEAH!!! Biggest Loser is on tonight! And YEAH!!! Joelle got booted last week!
:: They moved my ENT appt. for my laryngitis up to next Monday! Praise the Lord!

Your son sounds like an amazing person. Chocolate covered strawberries sound so good!
ReplyDeleteOk about Scrapblog... Hang on tight... LOL
ReplyDelete1. Click on File
2. Then click on Export as JPEG and you will save it to My Pictures or wherever.
3. Then you will place it on your blog.
If you need help adjusting the border that comes with the header on blogger I can help with that too!! Its pretty easy but you have to mess with the HTML coding.
Melanie
I'm glad Melanie could help you because I'm no good with that kind of thing. Your son sounds like quite a kid - I love the daffodils!
ReplyDeleteYes you go to Layout and then edit the Header... Ok I think I saw your new blog you are starting and it looks FABULOUS! Ok now to get the new header into the frame go to HTML under Layout then scroll till you see this:
ReplyDelete/* Header
-----------------------------------------------
*/
#header-wrapper {
width:684px;
margin:0 auto 10px;
border:1px solid $bordercolor;
}
Ok so now your width should say a different #. This is the size for my scrapblog that i have on my new blog. So go ahead and change it and just save it and keep looking at it till it fits!!! Hope this helps!
Mel
Pretty flowers...
ReplyDeleteYea Melanie explained it perfect. You have to publish first, ALWAYS. Then say no to downloading it.
Click on export to jpeg and save it in your picture file. Then on your blog you upload a picture as you would for the header as usual.
Hugs
PS: Yea if your picture doesn't fit perfectly inside the square lines of your boarder we can help you adjust or remove the boarder in full.
Yea your sample header looks great and fits well. I kind of like the simple plan cream color you have. However if you have a background color you like, where is this background? Backgrounds are tricky, and I can send you a link that can help you with the 3 column, but I have yet to really do either myself. I always good search how to do all of the above, but maybe Melanie can explain how to add the 3 column and a custom background...she may have done her own blog, not positive.
ReplyDeleteLet me find those links and I will send them to you also.
