Take it or leave it

I wanted to post a delicious picture of one of my tasty grilled cheese sandwiches. Unfortunately, I didn't check the picture until after I ate the sandwich and by then it was too late to take another picture!

Do you think I'm going to make and eat another sandwich, just so I can retake the picture for you all?? I don't think so! So you can take it or leave it!

I have to admit, I make a GREAT grilled cheese sandwich and this rainy day was just perfect for making them.

I use Italian Bread (French is 2nd choice).

Arrange one slice of American Cheese on a slice of bread.

Cut VERY thin slices of Mozzerella and Cheddar Cheeses and lay on top of the American slice, staggering so all of the bread is covered.

Place top layer of bread on top and spread with margarine.

Place sandwich butter-side-down in hot pre-sprayed skillet, spread margarine on the the remaining side.

I like to cover it with a lid in order to ensure that the cheese gets all melted and gooey.

Flip sandwich when it starts browning and brown remaining side.

These are FANTASTIC! The combination of the Italian bread and the cheeses is just perfect. Mmmmm. Just thinking about it makes me want another one.

  1. Yummy! I picked up a sub at our grocery store, which is usually very good. However - this one had so much pepper on it was inedible! Of course, I was home and not about to go back out. I want one of your grilled cheese sandwiches!
