Answered prayer!

Why is it that we spend so much time in prayer, praying for certain people and situations...and then we are surprised when God answers the prayer?

Let me back up. God always answers prayer! It's just that sometimes God's answer is "no" and we tend to ignore that and say "God hasn't answered my prayer!". We tend to think we know better than God.

But when we pray, so often there is no faith in the conversation with God.

Mark 11:23:
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

If God can move a huge mountain (without our help!), he certainly can do anything else. So when we pray, we don't we expect great things?

Why was I shocked when I saw this, this morning?


Alan Henley, able to stand on his own for 30 minutes! Isn't it amazing?

I've been praying for this, but was surprised to hear it and see it.

And they've been approved for another week at Lakeshore! That's almost as amazing as Alan standing, if you know the struggle with BC/BS they have been through to get ANY help for Alan.

God is good. I feel ashamed that I only say that during these triumphant times. Because God is good no matter what we are facing and what His answer is to our prayers.
