Clothes shopping! The last time I went shopping for clothing was last summer!
I hate shopping. I get tired so easy. The stores always seem to warm and stuffy.
It's depressing to see my overweight body in the mirror!
I'm trying to carry my purse and my oxygen and look at clothing. That's not easy.
I've had a Gift Card for Kohl's since Christmas but have been either sick or too busy to go shopping. So today my mom and I went to Kohl's.
I think I've only been in a clothing store once since last summer, other than when I get groceries at Walmart. This was a BIG EVENT!
I tried on about 40 items. I bought 8 items! 7 were on sale.
Did I mention this was a BIG EVENT????? I've needed clothing so badly that when I've left the house I had a choice between my green slacks...or my green slacks.

Our lab, Raini, got quite sick on Saturday. She threw up for 5 hours straight after we got up and was panting hard and not looking too good. My husband took her to the vet and they did an xray to check for blockage or anything serious. They said she just had a virus. She got worse that night and I thought for sure she wasn't going to make it through the night.
Now she's doing quite a bit better.
Except she is farting something TERRIBLE. I mean, TERRIBLE! I have to put Vicks on my nose and my mask on, burn a candle, and I can STILL smell it a few rooms away!!
sounds like the same virus my men have! ha! they have been barfing all over and now it is the other end!

I hope you enjoy your new clothes and feel a little sense of a new fashionable you.... just think, today you can look at those green slacks and say "not today, not tomorrow, and not for the next 7 days".

Hooray for getting new clothes - and getting them on sale! I saw that video and thought it was great. It's not often you see Simon speechless! Glad your dog is doing better - hopefully those after effects won't last long!

ReplyDeleteI had to nod in agreement on the clothes shopping. Last night I ventured to Kohl's myself after being squeezed all day into too-tight pants. I broke down and bought the next size...larger. It was not fun to see how my rear filled up the bigger size! The only consolation was when I noticed the tag on the old, too-tight pants, they were a size smaller than I thought they were. That explained a lot. So now I have three sizes...and my goal will be to walk more over the summer, and be wearing the smallest size come fall.
